English Reflection
I’ve kind of
enjoyed Blogging, from a creative aspect it’s really nice to be able to express
myself in different ways through blogging, however, from a master procrastinator
viewpoint, it is still another assignment. Assignment aside, the open-ended
aspect of most of our blog posts has really helped me expand my writing and my
capabilities when it comes to expressing myself through my voice. It also has
allowed me to make that connections with peers that we can’t make online
anymore. These blogs spark conversation that would go unspoken over zoom. It
also allows me to get to know about people I may have not ever gotten the
opportunity to speak with even if we were able to go to school.
The workload hasn’t
been too bad, I kind of expected worse, I don’t feel like I’m overflowed with
work at all. The amount of work isn’t much different from the rest of my
classes or previous English classes. I think this class also relaxes me more/
makes me more comfortable than my other English classes because of our choice reading,
it allows the class to feel a little more free and not so restricted, much like
the blogging. The same thing applies to the Harkness Discussions, although
those will always make me anxious because I’m just an anxious person, but the
concept is more open-ended and the encouragement to try and listen instead of
focus on what to say next kind of calms me down a bit. Overall, I’ve really
enjoyed this class! 😊
